Pion-indie!'s Find of the Week!

Hey guys!

As mentioned on the show this week, there's a killer makeshift compilation thrown together by the staff over in NPR's music department.  It's called the Austin 100 and it features some of the latest and greatest in indie music featured at this year's South by Southwest festival, many of the more underground ones featuring links to download free MP3s!  You can scope out the entire list here, and don't forget, whatever music you enjoy, it's most likely available on iTunes.
Feed a musician, download legally, you know the drill.

Until next week!

The Hottest New Hits!

"'Till The World Ends" Britney Spears
Britney is back in a vengeance with her second single, 'Till The World Ends! If you thought Hold It Against Me was good, this single is ten times better! Many critics are claiming it as one of her best singles of her entire career, so definitely check this hot dance track out as it is about to explode everywhere! Not to mention, Ke$ha wrote the song!

"The Lazy Song" Bruno Mars
Fresh from his first Grammy win a couple weeks ago, Bruno Mars is onto his third single from his album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. This song has more of a reggae feel than his previous singles as he sings about doing nothing at all, as the title suggests. The song has simple rhyming verses and is very laid back, but it works for Bruno.

"E.T." Katy Perry f/ Kanye West
Katy's fourth single off her Teenage Dream album is a different sound for her as it has futuristic electronic beats. However, the song doesn't live up to her past singles as it seems too plain and not enough spunk to it like we are used to from Katy's pop-tastic tunes. The beat is also very reminiscent of t.A.T.u.'s 2002 hit "All The Things She Said." Not quite sure if this will be another number one for Katy..

"On The Floor" Jennifer Lopez f/ Pitbull
After many album and single flops over the past 5 years, J.Lo finally has a hit on her hands with "On The Floor"! This song is a hot dance track featuring one of the most popular rappers out right now, Pitbull. While it does sound like a lot of other party dance songs out right now, it is still an undeniable smash and a great comeback single for J.Lo!
