WAZZZAAAAAAAAAAP???
It's Ashley here for yet another exciting alternative/active rock update. Every Time I Die, who's latest album Ex-Lives drops March 6, just released "The ETID Pudcast," available here where they brilliantly cover "Tourettes" by Nirvana. The dude are real funny and entertaining so check it out. Also on the website, you can pre-order their new album.
Albums
The Audition just released a new album titled Chapter II Ep and it is horrible. That is all.
I just heard the album Awkward Breeds from Sidekick, and I have to say I was liking it quite a bit. I can't really be the best judge since i've never heard them before, but I thought the vocals on this album were great, and they had a really positive sound that meshes well. Check it out!
Shows
If you're feeling like a good sap-fest, if you just consider All Time Low one of your guilty pleasures, or if you're just nto that sort of thing, they're coming to Syracuse on March 1.
Check me and my wo-worker Becky on air Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 for The Identity Crisis: WPNR

WPNR Mosh Pit!
Sup dudes Zach here with your weekly hardcore/metal news.
If you caught Every Time I Die sometime this weekend, you know that saying it ruled is an understatement. I was able to catch them in Cuse and Clifton Park, and they killed it both dates. Check the web for live footage of a new single they played off of Ex Lives called "Total Miracles" also, the band recently released another new song and music video for "Revival Mode" which is also to be featured on Ex Lives. No doubt this album is gonna rule.
The new Cannibal Corpse record was released pretty recently. Death metal isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I gave a couple songs on the album a listen and I didn't think it was too bad. If you're a fan of windmilling and immoral lyrics it's probably worth a listen. The album's called "Torture" #original
The Chariot is working on writing their newest full length to follow up their last rager "Long Live." Beyond stoked. Apparently, the band is trying to get Billy Corgan, yes thee Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins to work with them for the new record. Knowing The Chariot, we can only imagine why. If Billy does somehow get involved in the album, it could definitely make for an interesting listen.
That's about all I have for this week. Be sure to tune in to "The Moose Mosh" every Wednesday at 6 for all your favorite hardcore/metal jams!

Hey Guys,
It’s Ashley here once again with your weekly Alternative/Active Rock update! For those of you that missed Every Time I Die this weekend, I feel quite sorry for you, because it was the best I’ve seen them out of six times, but I suppose you’ll be pleased to know that i’m done ranting about them for a while. In other news, Mutemath released a video for their song “Allies” from their newest album Odd Soul. I gave it a listen and I wasn’t a huge fan, but it’s catchy so I’ll at least give it that much. Who knows, maybe you’re into that sort of thing. In much more relevant news, The Used announced that they will be playing four shows in the UK to promote their anticipated album Vulnerable which will be released on March 27. You can check out the video for their new song “Empty With You” here.
Albums
There’s been quite a bit of hype over Sleigh Bell’s new album Reign of Terror so I decided I should check it out and give you a real opinion. I have to say, I just don’t get it. I feel like anyone could turn on a drum machine and find a cutesy androgynous chick singer who can write “interesting” lyrics and sing into a microphone dripping with effects while looking like they aren’t enjoying the shocking fame and credit that they’ve been receiving. It's just been done so many times before.
That's all I have for you guys today. Be sure to tune in to The Identity Crisis with Becky and I on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5!
