This week’s album comes from the Midwest from The Dopamines. This trios latest album, Expect the Worst came out in 2010 on the Plastick end of Paper and Plastick Records. Heavy, yet quick and exciting guitar riffs flow throughout the entire album. Smart lyrics keep listeners on their toes, finger poised on the rewind button in anticipation of did-they-really-just-say-that euphoria that often accompanies the brash lyrics of many great pop-punk acts. The album is comparably similar to 90’s pop-punk, specifically Saves the Day’s 1999 album Through Being Cool. It’s available on iTunes and in record stores nationwide, so definitely check it out!
