Sad day in the world of post hardcore as Thursday has decided to call it quits. The band of course was a huge contender in the underground music scene for years, influencing many post hardcore bands of today. What gets even worse is the news that Thrice has gone on a hiatus. The band has announced that they will continue to make music but they will no longer be a touring band. Both of these bands played a huge influence on my music tastes when I was growing up, so it's pretty hard to see them go. Timeless stuff though, no doubt kids will still be jamming to records from both bands for years to come.
After reading that heart breaking news, I bet you could use a few laughs. So here's a joke: Emmure. That one gets me every time. The band has just announced they're working on their newest full length. How they're going to top "Speaker of the Dead" is beyond me, as it's probably one of the best- Ok I can't even type that with a straight face.
That's about all I have for this week. Tune in to WPNR 90.7FM for the semester's final broadcast of "Pop Punk Erotica" with Zach and Vikki Monday at 4, and "The Moose Mosh" Wednesday at 6! Never fear, both shows will be back next semester!
