WAZZAAAAPPP!!
It's Ashley here with your weekly Active Rock/Alternative update. You're witnessing a music discovery here people. I was browsing for news as usual, and came across a video of The Sidekicks doing a cover of "Good Things" by The Mezingers, and I thought, wow this is a really good, emotional song. I decided I should check out the original, but it was the song's evil punk twin, and I loved it. I've checked them both out more extensively on youtube, and I urge you to do the same.
Albums
The Mars Volta have already earned respect, but I figured I should critique their latest album Nocturniquiet. I felt like there was too much weird, sensual growling than the usual insect like cream I'm used hearing. There just wasn't enough variety. Maybe It's just something I'll get used to. Here's a link to their new song "Memories."
