Like The Hush Sound, Steel Train, Empires? You'll like Stamps!
While Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance favorites, The Hush Sound are still on hiatus, Greta Morgan’s side project Gold Motel has held us over. Now it’s co-lead vocalist Bob Morris’ turn. He’s just released a new album with his new band, Stamps. The album is called Tramp and is a great album, featuring the familiar Hush Sound dynamic; boy and girl sharing vocal responsibilities, but backed by a drummer and guitarist. The guitar riffs feature lots of soloing, done by Ian Crawford, formerly of Decaydance's The Cab, and the vocals change drastically, depending on the vocalist, making a first listen to the album even more exciting.
The best part? It’s free! Head over to Stamps' website and you can pick your own price for the album, which is always very cool. And with a band byline like “Stamps – Turns on lamps. Cures your cramps. Pleases your gramps," it's just got to be a winner.
Tune into Pion-indie!, Monday afternoons from 3:00-4:30 and Wednesday nights from 8:00-10:00.
Until next week!
