Indie fans! Whats up? This is Becky with your latest indie update.
A few days ago I decided to check out the new Imperial Teen album Feel The Sound, and I was less than impressed. When the first song starts you think its going to be good, don't let it fool you. Listen a little more and it sounds like something you would hear on Sesame Street. You press the skip button and "Out From Inside" comes on, not quite as annoying as "Runaway" but its still up there. Whatever you do, do not listen to track six, "Don't Know How You Do It", you've had my warning.
Much unlike Feel the Sound, when I heard the first song on Liftoff's EP Naked I was pretty excited. "Falling Apart" reminds me of those old punk rock songs that you never forget. "All Alone" has that same feel, then "The Best" slows things down and shows another side of the band. All in all it's a great EP and I can't wait to hear more from them.
In not so indie news...
Skrillex also release a new EP titled Bangarang. What I found interesting about this EP is each song has a very different sound to it, and they aren't all dubstep. My personal favorites are "Bangarang" and "Kyoto" but each of the other songs hold a place in my heart as well. Check it out on iTunes!
