What's good brotatos? Sorry I haven't updated in so long- we have much to discuss regarding the world of hardcore and punk!
Let's start with some 2011 releases to get stoked on in upcoming months!
Be on the lookout for new EPs and LPs from:
Agnostic Front, Between The Buried and Me, Casey Jones, Mother of Mercy, Defeater, Touche Amore, Periphery, Foundation, Title Fight, Emmure, Thursday, and so many more! I'll give more details on each as the release dates get closer!
This week's Believe The Hype band goes to the well deserving dudes in Make Do And Mend.
I saw these guys for the first time when they went on tour with Defeater. I had never heard any of their music until the night of the show, but right away I knew they were something special. Their unique style of melodic hardcore punk got an amazing reaction from the crowd, and they absolutely killed it live. After their set they gave a kid a free tshirt for fixing their mic stand in the middle of a song. They rolled into Cuse a few months later in December with Polar Bear Club, and after having bought all their albums I found it impossible to not sing along to every song. Check out their latest full length "End Measured Mile"
I'll have show news for you on next weeks blog. If you have any news of shows rolling into your area please contact me so I can add them in!
ALSO, don't forget to vote for WPNR to win a College Radio Woodie Award! We were voted into the top 50 stations in the country by our loyal listeners! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who voted, and don't forget to keep voting for us here: http://radiowoodie.ratemyprofessors.com/
Thank you again!
Oh, and by the way, The Moose Mosh is back! Tune in Sundays from 8-10PM!
Until next week; Mosh hard, or not at all!
